High reliability for power generation and uninterruptible power supply ensured by Schaltbau C400 and C600 series compact contactors

Where the safe and reliable switching of high-voltage direct currents is required as e.g. for the generation of renewable energy as well as for UPS systems, our C400 and C600 series compact contactors can be relied on.

That is why they are used as main contactors in wind and solar energy plants. Their use in UPS systems for computer centres and telecommunication applications guarantees that in case of a power failure there is uninterruptible power supply of the loads from a battery or fuel cell backup. As circuit breakers these contactors simultaneously function as deep discharge protection for the batteries thus preventing them from permanent damage or destruction.

For use in fixed parts the contactor can be mounted directly onto the bus bar of the rack or control cabinet (see picture). For mobile use or when used under conditions of shock and vibration it is advisable to mount the contactor onto a subplate.
